Gamescom 2024 will once gain play host to a special Opening Night Live show hosted by Geoff Keighley, with new video game trailers and announcements promised. This year, ONL will kick off on 20 August, ushering in a week of talks, showcases, and networking between global game developers and publishers.
While the biggest reveals of Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live remain a mystery, Keighley has revealed a few games that will feature during the show.
Opening Night Live: Confirmed games
Monster Hunter Wilds will appear for a new look trailer, and potentially a release date reveal. Dune Awakening, a reimagining of the Dune universe, will also put in an appearance. A new game from Tarsier Studios (Little Nightmares) will also be revealed during Opening Night Live, with this teased by a video of a pig with its guts spilling out.
Civilization VII will also appear, with a gameplay trailer promised. Marvel Rivals will show up with new hero reveals “and more.” These games will be joined by a new look at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.
