Banjo-Kazooie is coming to Nintendo Switch Online this January

Classic 3D platformer Banjo-Kazooie is officially coming to Nintendo Switch Online on January 20. Nintendo confirmed the news with a surprise trailer drop, showing off the titular Banjo in action, with his best friend Kazooie in tow. The title was originally promised when the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack launched, and now it becomes the latest adventure to hit the premium tier of the service.

The last title, Paper Mario, landed on December 10 to rapturous applause.

It appears these Nintendo 64 classics will continue releasing a regular basis, with new titles arriving for subscribers every month or so. Already confirmed to appear in future are titles like Pokemon Snap and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – and there’s likely more to come following these releases.

How to play Banjo-Kazooie on Nintendo Switch

To access Banjo-Kazooie and its fellow Nintendo 64 titles on Nintendo Switch Online, you’ll need to be a member of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, the premium, yearly tier of the service.

This service is not monthly, and needs to paid in a single, $59.95/per year transaction.

For that money, you’ll gain access to a range of emulated Nintendo 64, Sega Mega Drive, SNES and NES games, as well as additional benefits – like the Happy Home Paradise DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
